About Michelle
As a wee child I picked up a pencil and a paintbrush and have been creating ever since. Living in Europe, West Africa, the Middle East and now Seattle gives me a wide outlook and enriches your project with a global view of life. Schooled in the ‘70s with Solar and Energy Efficiency curriculums, sustainable practices have benefited my clients since the beginning. I first launched into teaching about green architecture in 1996 for King County’s then new waste and toxics reduction program. The local programs and our building practices have all evolved considerably since then. I have raised 3 children, bought/remodeled homes from both the 1800′s and every decade of the 1900′s [think hermit crab], permitted the first straw bale residence in King County, helped house the homeless and worked with incredible people. And now perhaps I can collaborate with you. I am your Neighborhood Architect.
My Team
When the project scope demands it, great consultants step up to round out the expertise. These include Lynne Hoskins Designer and Permitting Expert, Giraf Design Structural Engineering, Geotech Consultants, A & R Solar to name a few. Please see the links page. I work in Seattle, Port Ludlow and other Washington locations.
Philosophy
Your project is a collaborative conversation between all Team Members. If the Team is a wheel, think of me as the Hub. I am there from beginning to end, designing, guiding, and coordinating all our efforts.
